About CNDC
The Carbon Negative Data Center (CNDC) is being developed as a purpose-built, sustainable data center platform with its first campus in the Town of Busti, New York. Our mission is simple: make high-performance digital infrastructure more efficient, more resilient, and more aligned with the communities it serves.
Mission
CNDC exists to close the gap between rapidly growing digital demand and the need for clean, reliable energy. We design data centers where compute, cooling, and power strategies are integrated from the beginning, allowing us to pursue carbon-negative operation over time while supporting mission-critical workloads.
Vision for the 716
Western New York has a deep industrial heritage and a strong base of technical talent. Our vision is to help write the region's next chapter by anchoring new digital jobs, workforce-training partnerships, and long-lived infrastructure right here in the 716.
Economic catalyst
The Busti campus is designed to be a long-term economic engine—creating construction and operations jobs, supporting new service providers, and offering local businesses access to modern IT capacity without leaving the region.
Community-first approach
We prioritize clear communication with municipal leaders, regional agencies, and nearby residents. Our goal is to build a campus that is not only technically advanced, but also a welcomed neighbor and active participant in community conversations.
Partnerships & Collaboration
CNDC is exploring collaborations with universities, workforce-development organizations, and technical training programs to create pathways into green and digital careers. From internships and research partnerships to hands-on training in data center operations, we see the campus as a platform for learning as well as computing.
